St. John's Church to host fall event Saturday

MONROE - St. John's United Church of Christ will host AutumnFest from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in its Fellowship Hall. The church is located at 1724 14th St. and is handicapped accessible. The event is open to the public.

Activities and events include a silent auction; bake sale; homemade crafts and handiworks sales; and activities for children. A quilt raffle and drawing for a full-sized quilt, pieced and bound by Ila Duerst and hand-quilted by St. John's Sewing Ladies, will be at 1:30 p.m.

Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The menu includes barbecue or hot turkey and dressing sandwich; corn or green bean casserole; choice of salads; pie or dessert; and beverage. A kid's meal will also be available. Prices are $8 for adults/teens and $4 for children ages 3 and up. Children 2 and under are free. Carryouts will be available.
