MONROE — SSM Health Monroe Hospital has earned an upgraded certification as a Silver Safe Sleep hospital through Cribs for Kids® for their commitment to best practices and education on infant safe sleep.
It takes a significant amount of work and commitment to safe sleep initiatives to increase certification status. This achievement is a testament to the hospital’s continued commitment to providing families with exceptional care.
As a Nationally Certified Safe Sleep Hospital, SSM Health Monroe Hospital is recognized for following the safe sleep guidelines recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and providing training programs for healthcare team members, and safe sleep education to family and caregivers.
SSM Health Monroe Hospital has proven to:

● Promote safe sleep education on the hospital website
● Promote hospital-wide infant-safe sleep imagery
● Provide safe sleep training to staff caring for infants < 1 year

● Perform quality improvement measures based on compliance audits
