Spirit's Harmony to perform Nov. 16

MONROE - The men's a cappella quartet, Spirit's Harmony, will be singing at the 9 a.m. service Nov. 16 at St. John's United Church of Christ in Monroe. With a repertoire of sacred music combining different musical styles, including Jamaican, doo-wop, spirituals, Celtic, gospel, traditional and contemporary Christian, the group has sung extensively in churches and communities throughout the tri-state area. Spirit's Harmony, from Oregon, Ill., has recorded three CDs which feature new tunes as well as familiar ones. The quartet has a MySpace Web site at http://www.myspace.com/spiritsharmony2000, which includes sound samples of their music.

The public is invited to attend this special service. Located at 1724 14th St., Monroe, in the same block as St. Victor Catholic Church, the church is handicapped-accessible, with a drive-up drop-off and elevator on the east side of the building.
