MONROE - Scott Backovich, a nationally recognized motivational speaker, addressed the Monroe Middle School student body Monday by combining humor and sincerity into a message of tolerance and inspiration.

Backovich implored his audience to be "catalysts" for change in their school by reaching out to those who need them. The presentation was made possible by Tyler's Team Foundation Inc., Jacob's Swag Foundation and Angels Among Us of Green County as part of their ongoing outreach programs for area youth.
