MONROE - Local nonprofit groups have partnered to bring Kyle Scheele, a speaker, writer and youth expert, to area schools. Scheele has challenged tens of thousands of teens across the nation to live better stories.
He avoids the usual discussion of "don't do this, don't do that" and instead focuses on the positive choices that students can make to have a positive impact on their classmates, school, community and world.
Scheele will be speaking to middle and high school youth from eight area school districts in daytime presentations from Monday to Feb. 25.
Parents and other adult community members may attend a free presentation by Scheele at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 24 in the Monroe High School Performing Arts Center.
Scheele's presentations are being fully sponsored by local nonprofit foundations, through community support to Tyler's TEAM Foundation, Jacob's SWAG Foundation and Angels Among Us of Green County. The intent is to bring a powerful message to students about kindness, tolerance, acceptance and positive life choices.
For more information on Scheele, visit www.kylescheele.com.
There is no cost to attend, but seating is limited, so plan to attend early to assure getting a seat.
