DARLINGTON - Lafayette County Genealogy Society will host Elder and Sister Riley, missionaries of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Monroe, as they help people interested in furthering their family research through Internet research.

They will be showing how to access the billions of records available through FamilySearch, Puzzilla, Fold3, FindMyPast and Ancestry. FamilySearch.org and Puzzilla.org are free websites to search on, only needing a username and password.

Lafayette County Genealogy Society will be holding a two-part special presentation - the first at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, July 27 at the Johnson Public Library, 131 E. Catherine St., Darlington. A second presentation will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 24 at the Johnson Public Library.

Those who have personal laptops can bring them along; the Johnson Public Library has limited computers to use. Those who attend can also create a username and password for FamilySearch.org prior to the event, however, this can be done the day of the presentation.

For more information, contact Sarah Goebel, Lafayette County Genealogy Society vice-president and program chair, at 608-325-9615.
