MONROE - For individuals interested in starting their own business, the Small Business Development Center of Southwest Wisconsin will offer a free First Steps to Starting a Small Business workshop from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1 at Blackhawk Technical College, 210 4th Ave.
Participants will learn about business plans, why they are important, what is in them and how to write one. Participants will also learn why market research is important to business success, and resources from local business development organizations will be provided.
