MONROE - Joe Marx, Monroe Clinic sleep technician, will be featured at the Monroe Clinic Diabetes Support Group meeting 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, at the clinic building, main campus, lower level.
For people with Type 2 diabetes, studies show that more than 50 percent suffer from sleep apnea. Snoring, high blood pressure and wakening after a full night of sleep and still being tired are three of the early screening questions. A sleep study is most commonly used to diagnose and grade the type and severity of sleep apnea.
Marx will share information regarding having a sleep study and treatment options will be discussed. For more information, call 324-2166.
