MONTICELLO - Farmers of the Sugar River, a producer-led watershed group for the Middle and Lower Sugar Rivers, is hosting "Shop Talk" at noon March 12 at Dan and Sally Roe's shop at N5680 Gutzmer Road, just off Highway 69, south of Monticello.
The event will be an afternoon of discussion, networking and demonstrations for all area farmers to attend. The topics covered will be getting planters and drills field-ready and looking at proper tractor tire inflation and ballasting.
Having planters and drills in good shape for use will help eliminate planting problems in the fields. Tips and techniques learned will be applicable to no-till and conventional farmers. The session will be informal, with time for questions.
Lunch will be served, so RSVP to Tonya.Gratz@wi.nacdnet.net or call 325-4195 ext. 121.
