MONROE - Captain Mark McKeown will speak at the Sons of Norway meeting at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 14 at Union Presbyterian Church, 2707 5th St.

McKeown captains a fishing vessel in the Bering Sea, which separates Alaska and Russia. Currents, sea ice and weather make it a vigorous and productive ecosystem. McKeown and his crew pride themselves on bringing the very finest wild-caught Alaskan sockeye or red salmon to sell in Madison.

Attendees will enjoy a treat, as McKeown plans to cook and serve cod or salmon for the meeting. The dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m., with the program at 7 p.m. The dinner and presentation are open to the public.
