MONROE - Shakespeare on the Edge will be holding auditions for "Twelfth Night" from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Jan. 29 at the Masonic Temple, 16131/2 10th St. Shakespeare on the Edge is for ages 5-18.
Shakespeare! By Kids! For Kids! is a three-week, abridged, modern Shakespeare play that serves as a free, fun introduction to Shakespeare and an opportunity for youth, teens and families to learn about year-round programming at Shakespeare on the Edge. The program is for children ages 5 to 18 years old.
Rehearsals will be from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Jan. 30 and Feb. 2, 5, 6, 9, 12, 13 and 15. The performance will be at 7 p.m. Feb. 16.
The experience helps youth build character, self-esteem, self-respect and respect for others, confidence, eye-contact, stage presence, friendships, rapport with all ages and community involvement.
