Gwen and Terry Shaker, Monroe, announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Jean Shaker, to Peter John Dudek IV, son of Pam and Peter Dudek.
The bride-to-be is a 2005 graduate of Monroe High School and a 2009 graduate of Clarke College where she received a bachelor of science degree in Athletic Training. She is currently completing her doctorate degree in physical therapy at Clarke University and will graduate in May.
The future groom, from Schaumburg, Ill., will graduate in May from Clarke University with a bachelor's degree in English and communications.
The couple is planning a June 2011 wedding at the Monroe United Methodist Church.
