Seventh-Day Adventist's will hold marriage, family seminars in October

MONROE - Various marriage and family life seminars, sponsored by the Monroe Seventh-Day Adventist, will be held through October at the Monroe SDA auditorium, W5951 Patina Lane, Wisconsin 69 South.

The seminar schedule is:

• Two Reasons Marriages Fail - 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 5

• Seven "Super Ts" for Single Parents - 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 6

• Four Biblical Grounds for Divorce - 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 6

• Six Critical Steps for Preventing and Ending an Affair - 7 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 7

• Is Test-Driving Your Marriage Smart? - 7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 9

• Steps for Successful Step-Parenting - 7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 10

• Counsels for Couples Contemplating Divorce - 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 11

• Tips for Moms Struggling With Postpartum Depression - 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 12

• Why Mom and Dad's Marriage License Matters to Children - 7 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 14

• Ten Questions to Answer Before You Get Engaged - 7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 16

• Roadblocks to Intimacy and the Benefits of Sexual Love - 7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 17

• Blueprint for Marriage Makeover - 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 19.

Dr. Abraham Swamidass - a certified family life counselor and educator - will speak at the seminars.

A free book will be given to those who attend all presentations.

The cost is $10 in advance for an individual or $15 at the door and $20 for a couple in advance or $25 at the door. A fee assistance is available. The registration fee includes: handouts, finger foods and refreshments, and a free vegetarian meal after the presentation on Saturday, Oct. 6. To pre-register, call (608) 843-7475.
