WISCONSIN RAPIDS - Monroe Middle School student Silas Setterstrom took first place in the state contest in seventh-grade math, after advancing through the Monroe Knights of Columbus Knowledge and Free Throw contest and the Madison area contest.

The contests were held in Wisconsin Rapids on Saturday, March 17. Students earning first and second place from the Superior, La Crosse, Green Bay, Milwaukee and Madison Diocesan contests held across the state participated.
