Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Daniel B. Diddens, son of Theresa Diddens of Freeport, Ill., and Brian Diddens of Lena, Ill., recently completed Naval Nuclear Power Training Pipeline. During the course with Nuclear Power Training Unit, Ballston Spa, N. Y, Diddens received instruction about nuclear theory, chemistry, physics, reactor operations, safety and security. Upon completion of the course, Diddens qualified as a Naval nuclear operator. Diddens, a 2006 graduate of Freeport High School, joined the Navy in January 2007.
