Army Sgt. Russell J. Hull has been decorated with the Good Conduct Medal. The medal is awarded to enlisted individuals who depict and demonstrate exemplary conduct, bearing and behavior while serving on active military service. Hull received the medal while deployed to Baghdad, Iraq, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He is an equipment operator with Alpha Company, 46th Engineer Battalion at Fort Polk, Leesville, La. The sergeant has served in the military for six years.

Hull is the son Jim and Connie Hull of Ohio St., Darlington. His wife, Alissa, is the daughter of Scott and Sandy Bryson of Darlington. The sergeant attended Darlington High School.
