Senior Fun Fest is March 26

MONROE - Stateline Senior Fun Fest, hosted by the Inter Agency Council on Senior Services, will be held from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 26 at the Monroe High School, 1600 26th St.

The event is free. There will be 45 interactive exhibits from stateline area business and organizations, with three information workshops; free blood pressure, blood sugar and bone density checks; expired medication drop off; free chair massages; and free giveaways and door prizes.

Informational workshops are at 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. and include Disaster and Emergency Preparedness Tips by Tanna McKeon; Betwixt and Bewildered, Navigating through a Caregiver's World (humor approach) by Cori Marsh; and GI and Colon Cancer Awareness by Dr. Wissam Mattar.

Lunch will be served from noon to 1 p.m. Reservations are required for lunch and are due by calling 608-328-9499 by noon Monday, March 25. There is a suggested donation of $3.50 for age 60 or older.

The menu will include pork loin, mashed potatoes with gluten-free gravy, Wisconsin blend vegetables, lettuce salad with dressing, wheat roll, cheesecake with strawberries, coffee and milk.
