MONTICELLO - The Monticello High School senior class of 2012 will present the play "Scandal at Hampton Estate," a suspenseful comedy written by Kayla Livous and Donna Van Oss, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12 in the Rehmstedt Gymnasium, 334 S. Main St.

Tickets are $6 for adults and $5 for children, students and senior citizens, and can be purchased at the door at both performances. Advance tickets cost $1 less and can be purchased at the school office beginning Monday, Jan. 30.

"Scandal at Hampton Estate" is about Ivana Hampton's attempt to impress her snobby friends and to celebrate her appointment as the city's Social Calendar Chairperson with a fabulous costume ball. She has invited the city's richest citizens, including the mayor, to Hampton Estate. This event is so big that a TV reporter arrives to cover it. Everything is going smoothly at first for Ivana until her hick relatives show up: Ivana's mother talks to her imaginary friend, a hobo wanders around, and Ivana's 80-year old uncle introduces everyone to his 24-year old fiancée. Then things really go downhill when the cook fails to prepare any food, the lights go out, the security guard gets murdered, the famous Hampton heirloom is missing, and a ransom note demanding $10 million is discovered.

Cast members include: Kathleen Gierhart, Ashley Schmid, Brittany Andrews, Laine Havens, Jessie Henson, C.J. Dilley, Andrew Fink, Katie Studer, Ryan Ruegsegger, Hailey Wing, Derek Gilbertson, Victoria Wichser, Liz Pratt, Evan Schultz, Tanya Smith, Paul Fenner, Desiree Marty, Alex Henning, Hannah Blum, Brad Bernet, Austin Steffen, Brian Rufener, Karlie Klossner, Kelsey Jacobsen, Preston Berg, Lukas Kolasch, Nathan May, Sam Bak, Dylan Luchsinger, Lucas Carlino, and Rebecca Kammes.
