It is hoped that someone who sees this 1958 photo of the students in the Searles School will be able to put names to all or most of the students shown.
Carolyn Eicholtz, who is the teacher in the photo, taught at this school for four years from 1956 through 1960. The former Searles School is located at N4505 Wisconsin 59 where it serves as the Sylvester Town Hall. This school district, previously known as the Lindley School, was organized in December 1850 and served the area until it closed in 1962. Most of the graduates then went to Albany High School. If you are able to identify any or all of the students pictured here, please let Matt Figi know at 608-325-6503 or mfigi48@tds.net.
