BROOKLYN — On Nov. 10, the South Central Wisconsin Farmers Union held its annual board retreat at Stillpoint Flower farm in Brooklyn. Chapter events for 2025, policy considerations for the upcoming state convention and the election of officers were on the agenda.
The chapter’s new leadership team is a strong mix of newer members and experienced farmers union individuals.
Elected officers for the coming year are:

● Shelia Everhart (Janesville) — vice-president
● Matt Sheaffer (Monroe) — secretary
● Kathy Pennington (Brooklyn) — treasurer
● John Peck (Brooklyn) — membership chair
● Marci Hess (Blanchardville) — communications chair
● Sue Nelson (Browntown) — at large
