Scout makes historical display

DARLINGTON - Jason Boll, son of Joe and Judy Boll, received the Boy Scout Eagle Scout award at a Court of Honor ceremony July 27 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Sen. Dale Schultz presented an award to Boll.

Boll's service project consisted of constructing, with the help of Chris Andrews, a historical display case for the Lafayette County Courthouse. The display case depicts the history and photos of the three Lafayette County Courthouses.

Boll joined the Cub Scouts in 1998 and crossed over to Boy Scouts in 2003. He has held the positions of scribe, librarian, assistant patrol leader and patrol leader in Boy Scouts.

He attended Canyon Camp in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006, National Scout Jamboree in 2005 and Philmont in 2007. He has completed 28 merit badges, received the Polar Bear award in 2004 and now Eagle Scout in 2008. Boll is a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
