MONROE - Every year between January and April, Diggers Hotline and the Damage Prevention Council of Wisconsin hold a series of safety meetings in Wisconsin. Alliant Energy is participating in the Diggers Hotline 2018 Excavator Safety Awareness Program. The Monroe program will be held at 7 a.m. Jan. 30 at Peppercorn Banquets, Ludlow Mansion, 1421 Mansion Drive.

These meetings promote safe digging practices and emphasize the importance of calling 811 before you dig.

Contractors, excavators, builders, landscapers, municipal workers and utility workers are encouraged to attend. Each meeting begins with a meal, followed by a safety-focused program, and wraps up with door prizes. There is no fee to participate, but attendees must register online at diggershotline.com.
