S. Wayne charitable projects eligible for grants

SOUTH WAYNE - The South Wayne Community Fund and the Black Hawk Excellence in Education Fund, components of the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin Inc. are accepting applications for their annual grant cycle.

The funds offer competitive grants for charitable projects or programs that provide a direct benefit to the people of South Wayne as defined by the school district boundaries. This would include the needs in the arts, youth, education, historic preservation and human services. The Fund considers applications from charitable organizations. Individuals are not eligible for community fund grants.

The application forms are available online at www.cfsw.org. Applications must be submitted using the online application form, no later than 11:59 p.m. April 1. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered. Mailed, emailed or faxed applications will not be accepted.

Successful applicants will be notified of their awards by mail. Grants will be presented at a reception in early May. The time and place of the reception will be announced at a future date. Grantees are required to use their grant within one year of the award.
