LENA - The Friends of the Pecatonica River Foundation will be meeting at 7 p.m. May 21 at The Rafter's Restaurant, 9426 W. Wagner Road.
The Friends of the Pecatonica River Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that is dedicated to improving the Pecatonica River experience, including access, education, wildlife, log jam extrication and river clean-up for the communities in Stephenson County.
The Friends of the Pecatonica River Foundation will be aggressively working on the driveway/parking, "wetland" development, elephant bench and ADA fishing pier installation work at Atten's Landing.
Picnic tables were donated to the Atten's Landing project - six tables donated for Atten's Landing and four at McConnell.
Other 2015 summer events include updating McConnell's "Bobtown" Landing. The foundation is hoping to replace the broken wood/steel tables at McConnell's "Bobtown" Landing with the new flood-proof concrete tables.
