MONROE - The Monroe Clinic's Diabetes Support Group will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in the clinic building, main campus, lower level, to hear Dr. Gaines Richardson speak about palliative care.
Palliative Care is designed to manage progressive, incurable illnesses, to provide pain control and to address psychological, social and spiritual problems. The goal is to provide the best possible quality of life for patients and their families.
The usual entrance on the north end of the clinic, near pediatrics and family practice, will be under construction in November and December. Use the main doors for the clinic, on the west side of the building, then take the elevator to the lower level and the meeting rooms will be on the left.
