Carl and Billie Reynolds, Monroe, announce the engagement of their son, Cory, to Katie Gessner, daughter of David and Christine Gessner, Eau Claire.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of University of Wisconsin-Madison with a major in elementary education. She currently teaches in the Madison and Monona school districts.

The future groom is self-employed.

An August 16 wedding is planned at the First Presbyterian Church in Waunakee.
