SOUTH WAYNE — The Red Cross Blood Mobile will be held from 1 to 5:30 p.m. April 7 at St. John’s Catholic Church, 202 Varnum St.

There’s no substitute for volunteer blood donors because blood cannot be manufactured. Donors are the key to helping save lives. 

As a special thank-you, when donors race to give between April 1-30, they’ll automatically be entered for a chance to win a $1,000 e-gift card to a merchant of their choice. There will be five winners.

An appointment is required and can be reserved by calling the Red Cross at 800-733-2767 or visiting the Red Cross app on a smartphone. An ID is required, and 16-year-olds need parental consent. Walk-ins are welcome if there are no appointments scheduled at the time of arrival, due to the 6 feet distancing rule.
