MONROE - The Young Professionals of Green County (YPGC) held their third annual Golf Outing Friday, July 22, at the Monroe Country Club, Monroe, with a record number of golfers participating.

Funds raised will go to benefit the organization's community projects for the upcoming year.

"The golf outing was a great way for young professionals and business leaders in our community to network and socialize in support of our organization," Ryan Ziltner, President of Young Professionals of Green County, said in a release. "This year we received a number of sponsorships and donations from area businesses."

The two major event sponsors were Jeremy Pinnow and Associates, Brodhead, and Colony Brands, Monroe.

More than 40 people attended the event, which featured nine holes of golf followed by a dinner and social hour.

The YPGC was founded in 2007 with the first Outstanding Young Professional of the Year Award that was given to Charlie Baumann of The Swiss Colony, Inc.

Since then, the group has planned activities for young professionals on a monthly basis.
