MONROE - The Monroe Parks and Recreation Department will be offering an early release program from 1 to 4 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 30, at the Community Center. Sugar Explosion! is for children in grades kindergarten through fifth grade. Don't worry parents - we won't fill them too full of sugar. Games for children include: unwrap the candy bar, who stole the candy from the candy jar, candy pictionary, capture the candy, brown sugar tower, candy bar game, lifesaver relay, eat crackers and whistle, dangling donuts, the spoon game and jawbreaker relay. Snacks will include banana splits, cheese and crackers, sno-cones and juice boxes.

The cost to register is $6 and pre-registration is required. Stop down to register at 1110 18th Avenue (basement of City Hall) or call at 329-2460.
