MONROE - The Green County Historical Society was recently able to renovate the former Bethel School on its museum complex, because of the help from Clifford and Dorothy Reasa Fund for Historic Preservation.
New windows were installed before all of the old wood was replaced, primed and painted. The school was painted white, since all of the frame schools in the county were white. A renovated sign will also be replaced in the spring.
The altar of the former Universalist Church, inside the Green County Historical Society museum, was painted using funds donated by the Clifford and Dorothy Reasa Fund for Historic Preservation.
