Rain garden program is Thursday

MONTICELLO - The public is invited to a program about rain gardens presented by the Green County Garden Club. The program will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 7 in Monticello.

The speaker will be Mark Horn who is the owner of Green Leaf Conversation, a habitat restoration company based in Madison. Horn initiated and ran the rain garden program for the City of Middleton. He has designed and installed dozens of rain gardens in southern Wisconsin and has taught rain garden workshops for a number of civic organizations.

The meeting location is the Zwingli Church in Monticello, 416 E. Lake Ave. The Green County Garden Club is a non-profit group and meets the first Thursday of every month. For information, call Mike Davis, Green County Garden Club President, (608) 527-3032.
