Monroe Theatre Guild held five performances of the production “Proof” during the weekends of June 20-22 and June 27-29.

Local actors Jackie Ceithamer, Dale Ripley, Kate Eliasson and Carl Messer performed the dramatic play by David Auburn, which sees character Catherine give up her education to take care of her ailing father. Mental disease, family dynamics, genius vs. madness, and sexism create the riveting drama where high stakes volley unpredictably from start to finish. 

Casting auditions for the theater’s next production, “The Haunting of Hill House,” will be July 9-10, with performances Oct. 10-12 and Oct. 17-19.
