MONROE - Prom for Pennies is an event sponsored by the Monroe High School students of Service Club. The Prom for Pennies event will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Jan. 28 at Monroe High School, a new location this year.
The event provides area high school girls the opportunity to purchase a gently used prom or formal dress. The organization is looking for ready-to-wear dresses: long, short, prom or formal. Contact Linnea Tabaka at linneatabaka@monroe.k12.wi.us before Jan. 20 with any questions or to donate a dress. Dresses also may be dropped off at the Monroe High School office.
All proceeds from the event will be donated to Jacob's SWAG Foundation Inc.
Jacob's SWAG was created to raise funds to provide educational programs in the schools and community youth programs in the areas of bullying, suicide prevention/awareness, mental health and making good life choices.
