ALBANY - The Aging and Disability Resource Center will be presenting Money Smart for Older Adults - an education program to provide information and tips to help prevent common frauds and scams - from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Dec. 18 in the Albertson Memorial Library.
Money Smart for Older Adults will cover information about identity theft, medical identity theft, telephone and email scams, awareness, prevention and where to turn when help is needed.
The program was developed by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the FDIC. Albany Police Department will be on hand to discuss local data. The Town Bank in Albany is also supporting the event.
There is no cost for this program and refreshments will be provided.
