Program set for Nov. 18; Christmas dinner is Dec. 11

ALBANY - The Albany Historical Society will have Matt Figi, Green County history author, speak and show slides about, "County Schools of Green County," at 7 p.m. Nov. 18, at the Albany Historical Museum, located at 119 N. Water St., Albany.

There will be a short business meeting before the program. This is the first meeting held in the museum since the rebuilding of Albany's business N. Water St. The museum has been closed all August, September and October.

The meeting and program is open to everyone. Free admittance. Refreshments will be served.

The Historical Society is also planning their annual Christmas dinner for Dec. 11 at the Albany Lion's Club building, 402 N. Cincinnati St. Society members and non-members may make their reservations at the Nov. 18 meeting with payment, or by mailing reservations to Albany Historical Society, P.O. Box 464, Albany, WI 53502; including payment of $10 per person for dinner. Deadline is Dec. 6.

The Society requests that each person who attends the Christmas dinner bring an item of non-perishable food for the Albany Food Pantry. There will be entertainment. Punch will be served at 6:30 p.m., with dinner being served at 7 p.m.
