MONROE - The Green County-UW Extension is offering a workshop to help kids learn vital money management skills.
The free event is set for 5:30 p.m. Thursday, in the Green County UW-Extension /Justice Center Multi-Purpose room, 2841 6th Street. Pizza will be served, followed by an hour-long program.
Parents and kids will have separate activities. Kris Ault, Monroe Public Library children's librarian, will read children's books related to money management.
Adults, meanwhile, will participate in an interactive, video-based learning workshop in which specific techniques and strategies to help teach kids about personal finance and money management will be covered.
The program is appropriate for children ages 4 to 9.
Participants should enter the justice center building at the southeast corner for the multipurpose room.
