Princess event set on Square

MONROE - Cinderella is coming to the Square.

The Monroe Parks and Recreation Department's "Cinderella Comes to the Square" program is open to the public from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday. The program is free, and children can come dressed as a prince or princess for an evening on the courthouse lawn.

The Green County Dairy Queens will attend as Disney princesses: Haley Mueller as Moana will play Coconut Bowling; Paige Bittner as Tinker Bell will play Pick a Pixie Dust with prizes; Kailyn Fey as Snow White will play Dwarf Ring Toss to get a ring around a bottle and win a prize; Bailey Rodebaugh as Belle will play Wheel of Misfortune where children spin the wheel, do the activity and win a prize; Ainsley Krueger as Merida will play Bow and Arrow toss; Jaiden Walker as Jasmine will play Magic Carpet Ride by placing carpet squares for children on scooters; Stephanie Kolden as Elsa and Skye Hoffman as Anna will lead the Frozen Ice Hockey game, trying to hit the snowball with a club; Skylar Stanley as Pocahontas will play Kerplunk with kids to drop the disc into a slot to win a prize; Hailey Raymond as Mulan will play Chopsticks with mini marshmallows; Lindsey Pence as Sleeping Beauty will play Pin the Kiss on the Frog; and Mikayla Brey as Cinderella will play the Pumpkin Game, trying to find two matching mice for a prize. Games will be available for 75 cents or three for $2.

Jane Swiggum as Dotty the Facepainter will also be doing free face painting. Children may have their picture taken with the princesses, so bring a camera or cellphone.
