FREEPORT — The “Best Event in Illinois” returns with even more great activities for craft beer enthusiasts in Downtown Freeport Sept. 27. Pretzel City Brewfest will feature over 100 craft beers from local and national breweries for tasting on Chicago Avenue in downtown Freeport. Tickets can be purchased online through noon Friday, Sept. 26 at greaterfreeport.com/brewfest or at the gate on the day of the event.
Pretzel City Brewfest is an entertaining event for adults 21 years and older to try amazing local and national beer brands, socialize, and enjoy food from local food trucks. The event is open from 1-5 p.m., with special early entry to VIP guests at noon.
Pre-event general admission tickets are $40 and include 20 tasting tickets, entry to the event and a souvenir tasting glass. General admission tickets are also available at the door on Sept. 27.
VIP tickets are only available pre-event for $75. VIP ticket holders receive 30 tasting tickets, one-hour early event entry at noon, access to special release beers, a Brewfest t-shirt, a special VIP cooler, swag bag, and access to the VIP lounge with complimentary food and additional seating. VIP is unavailable for same-day purchase.
People who do not plan to drink but serve as designated drivers can purchase a ticket for $10.

Pretzel City Brewfest won “Best Event in Illinois” at the Illinois Excellence in Tourism awards in 2022.
