Pretzel City Brewfest hosts breweries and vistors Sept. 25

FREEPORT — Pretzel City Brewfest will be held Saturday, Sept. 24 featuring over 150 craft beers from local and national breweries for tasting in the beautiful Freeport Arts Plaza. Tickets can be purchased online through noon Friday, Sept. 24 at greaterfreeport.com/brewfest and at the gate during the event.

Pretzel City Brewfest is a great event for residents and visitors who are 21 and older to try amazing local and national beer brands, socialize, be entertained with games and contests and enjoy food from local vendors. The event is open from 1-5 p.m., with special early entry to VIP guests at noon. 

Pre-event general admission tickets are $30 and include 20 tasting tickets, entry to the event and a souvenir tasting glass.

VIP tickets are only available pre-event for $60. VIP ticket holders receive 30 tasting tickets, one-hour early event entry at noon, access to special release beers, a Brewfest t-shirt, a special VIP cooler, swag bag, and access to the VIP lounge with complimentary food and additional seating.

General admission tickets are available at the door on Sept. 24 for $40. VIP is unavailable for same-day purchase. People who do not plan to drink but serve as designated drivers can purchase a ticket $10. “Brewfest is a fantastic event inviting residents and visitors from multiple states to enjoy a tremendous selection of beers and the great atmosphere of Downtown Freeport. Growler contests, large-scale beer pong for prizes, and delicious food vendors create a lively event for all,” said Event Coordinator Katie Gentz.

To encourage safety for all attendees, a free transportation shuttle is being provided on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with stops at the Baymont Inn, Country Inn & Suites, Hampton Inn, Logan’s Bar & Grill and Generations Brewing Company. 

Start the party early and see all that Downtown Freeport has to offer during the Festival District evening of Friday, Sept. 23. Grab a beverage from any of the downtown bar and restaurant establishments and walk through downtown to enjoy shopping and beautiful outdoor spaces.
