The Monticello Area Historical Society will host Gary Davis of rural Monticello to discuss the history of pigeons.
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Aug. 24 in the Zwingli UCC Sanctuary, 416 E. Lake Ave., Monticello.
Pigeons, White, racing and homing, are Davis' passion. He will discuss the history, breeding, training and racing.
This is a free presentation and will start at about 7:15 p.m., after the regular MAHS meeting. The public is welcome to attend.
