MONROE - Kathryn Powers, 16, and Samantha Powers, 20, daughters of Dan and Deb Powers, have been chosen state finalists in American Coed Pageants to be held July 16-17 at the Chula Vista Resort, Wisconsin Dells.
Kathryn will participate in the Miss Wisconsin American Teen pageant for girls age 3 to 22. Kathryn's activities include basketball, volleyball, football and track. She also enjoys reading, writing, school plays, exercising, being with friends and family, being outdoors and trying new things. Her sponsors are Powers Auction Service, Woodford State Bank and Scott Implement.
Samantha will participate in the Miss Wisconsin American Coed pageant for girls age 3 to 22. Samantha's activities include running, working out and family time. She enjoys reading, cooking and baking, fishing, camping, playing pranks on people and playing with her dog. Her sponsors include Powers Auction Service, her brother Michael, Scott Implement and Woodford State Bank.
The winner of the pageant receives a cash award, the official crown and banner, a bouquet of roses, transportation to compete in the national pageant at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla., plus a day in Disney for two. She will make appearances, ride in parades, work with charitable organizations and meet the governor.
