MONROE - The Potters House in Monroe looks ahead to 2009 with the theme for the year being "Going Beyond..." We look forward to serving Monroe and the surrounding areas in this new year. We have purposed to "go beyond" in compassion, faith, prayer, and in reaching our world for Jesus Christ.
The Potters House welcomes the New Year with some exciting initiatives. Beginning Sunday, Jan. 4, The Potters House will be changing its Sunday morning service time to 10 a.m. Along with this new time, The Potters House is introducing a new format to its Sunday morning services. This format will include a time of contemporary worship, as well as a focus on families that include Sunday School for children, "Youth on Fire," geared toward junior high and high school ages, nursery services for infants and toddlers, and dynamic preaching for adults.
To kick off 2009 The Potters House will also begin a 12-week series called "Under Cover." This series, developed by John and Lisa Bevere, has been presented around the world. Over the course of 12 weeks, this teaching will reveal principles designed to instruct people on how to live under the covering and protection of God. Individuals, couples, and families will come away with an understanding of the benefits and blessings of living a life submitted to God's authority. The "Under Cover" series will be held every Wednesday night at 7 p.m. beginning Jan. 7. For more information on The Potters House, visit www.tphmonroe.com or come to W6540 Smock Valley Road, P.O. Box 123, Monroe, or phone (608) 325-5033.
Services are 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sundays and 7 p.m. Wednesdays.
