MONROE - The Green County Young Professionals will host a Texas Hold 'Em Education Night from 7 to 9 p.m., Friday, Jan. 21, Old Smokey's Poker Room, Monroe.
Participants can learn how to play Texas Hold 'Em in a casual, no risk, nonintimidating environment. The group will review simple rules and play some hands to see how the game works. Those who know how to play are encouraged to attend and help others learn.
The group will also host Thursday Throwback from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, at the Monroe Den. Music from the 80s and 90s will be featured. The bar and concession stand will be open for business. Cost is $5 plus $1 for skate rental.
