Podcast sees more listeners during pandemic

MADISON — The Wisconsin-themed podcast, “The Cabin” is soaring in popularity. The show, which is produced and hosted by the same team behind the Discover Wisconsin TV show, recently hit No. 36 on Apple Podcast’s Places and Travel Chart. The Cabin is a weekly podcast that provides listeners with a daily dose of Wisconsin-centric conversation, can’t-miss events, exclusive interviews and behind-the-scenes content from Discover Wisconsin crew.

New episodes are released every Tuesday and are available to download on Spotify, Apple Podcast, and other popular podcast platforms. Bringing their fun banter and Wisconsin-loving spirit to the world of podcasting, The Cabin is hosted by Discover Wisconsin’s hosts Mariah Haberman, Eric Paulsen and Dave “Audio Dave” Janus.

Each episode kicks off with a Campfire Conversation, featuring topics of conversation suggested by “Discover Wisconsin” viewers, crew and members of the Around the Campfire Facebook group. Popular episodes include Welcome to the Cabin, Small Towns to Explore in Wisconsin and Stunning State Parks. Each episode also features an exclusive behind-the-scenes deep-dive into episodes of Discover Wisconsin in which the production team shares their experiences filming upcoming episodes plus fun “blooper moments”.

Outside its popularity with U.S. listeners, The Cabin has also gained an international following with fans tuning in weekly from Australia, Spain, Argentina and Canada.
