Peterson School was located on the north side of Ring Road east of Benson Road in Brooklyn Township. This district was formed soon after the Civil War ended. They leased land from a Mr. Hollister so they could build a school in Section 13. The school operated until the late 1950s. The property was sold in 1960 and the building was later razed.
