MADISON - World Red Cross Day is Wednesday, May 8 and the American Red Cross encourages eligible individuals to celebrate by donating blood in their communities.
All blood types are needed, especially O negative, B negative and A negative.
Upcoming blood donations opportunities are:
From 1 to 6 p.m. Monday, May 6 at Juda High School, N2385 Spring Drive, Juda.
From 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 1 at Pecatonica High School, 704 Cross, Blanchardville.
From 12 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 7 at American Legion, 1400 Keep St., Darlington.
A blood donor card or driver's license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age, or 16 with parental consent in some states, weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.
