Pearl City Elevator offers scholarship for students

PEARL CITY, Ill. - Pearl City Elevator Inc. sponsors the Jim Vondra Memorial Scholarship, awarding up to three $500 scholarships per year. All applications for this year must be postmarked by March 4.

The scholarships are designed for graduating high school seniors or graduates pursuing higher education and will be awarded based on academic achievement, service and leadership in the community, financial impact and an essay by the applicant.

Pearl City Elevator Inc. offers the scholarship to honor the life and preserve the memory of Jim Vondra.

Applications may be picked up at any of the following locations: PCE in Pearl City, Illinois; McConnell Co-op in McConnell, Illinois; Dakota Co-op in Dakota, Illinois; Warren Co-op in Warren; Baileyville Co-op in Baileyville, Illinois; Juda Agronomy in Juda; Alliance Commodities in Lena; or by calling the Pearl City office at 1-800-851-8584 or visiting the website www.pce-coops.com.
