MONROE — The Monroe Noon Optimists are hosting their annual Santa Reception Friday, Nov. 30 immediately following the Lighted Christmas Parade in downtown Monroe.
The Lighted Christmas Parade is at 6 p.m. stepping off from the Monroe Middle School before heading to the downtown and around the Historic Courthouse Square.
As expected, the stars of the parade are Santa and Mrs. Claus. After Santa and Mrs. Claus have a few moments to catch their breath, children and their parents will be able to visit with them in the lobby of Wisconsin Bank and Trust, 1717 10th Street, Monroe.
While waiting to have their complimentary picture taken with Santa Claus, children are encouraged to visit several craft tables to make fun items to take home.
Carolers will also be on hand to set the mood of the season.
Mrs. Claus and area Dairy Queens will be making the rounds throughout the evening, visiting with children and posing for parents to take pictures.
There will also be hot chocolate and treats for all, as well as a small gift for each child to take home.
