Optimists donate $6,000 to YMCA

MONROE — The Monroe Morning Optimist Club recently donated $6,000 to the Green County Family YMCA to assist in the funding of numerous programs for youth.

Green County Family YMCA Executive Director, Trent Henning and Membership & Community Engagement Director, Luke Smetters receive the donation from Optimist President, John Wyttenbach.  

The Morning Optimist Club provides funding for numerous youth programs through the fundraising sales, including the award-winning cheese curds at the Green County Fair and Cheese Days.  

Breakfast and social meetings for the Morning Optimist Club take place every Thursday morning at 6:45 a.m. A speaker from the community is also featured each Thursday.
