Blanche Elaine Martin, Janesville, will celebrate her 90th birthday at an open house hosted by her family from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 15, in the community room at 208 N. Main St., Janesville.
The fourth of 12 children, Elaine was born May 13, 1920 in Loves Park, Ill. At a very early age, her family moved to South Wayne, lived in the surrounding area and Monroe until moving to Janesville three years ago. She was married to the late Lawrence Martin for 55 years. She has six children: Larry (Dorothy) Martin, Forreston, Ill.; Beverly Sorn, Janesville; C. June Walters, Janesville; Chuck (Gloria) Martin, Rockford, Ill.; David (the late Judy) Martin, Baileyville, Ill.; and Mary (Dennis) Koester, Browntown. She also has numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
The family asks for no gifts.
